The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets have started writing about PlayStation for the first time. Last year proved to be complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft continues to plan to engage players with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Current Inclusions

The two games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
