Football Career Highlights The player made his Premier League debut for Manchester United in the mid-nineties and was a key member that secured a thrilling European Cup win in 1999 when they beat Bayern Munich with last-minute strikes. In total, he netted 85 goals and collected honours including multiple English championships and two FA Cups as a footballer, before ending his playing career in the past decade. Alongside his football career, he has backed a number of charity causes, including serving as a charitable representative for global aid group Unicef since the mid-2000s. Charitable and Other Roles In the previous year, Beckham, who has referred to himself as a “huge royalist”, was named an official representative for the King’s Foundation, an educational charity founded by the monarch in the early nineties.
